Elijah to Come Again
The
Promise
Malachi 4: 4 ¶ Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb
for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. 5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the
coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And
he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the
children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
The Fulfillment of the Promise
Matthew 11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women
there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that
is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 12 And from the days of
John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the
violent take it by force. 13For all the prophets and the law prophesied until
John. 14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to
come.

He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Matthew 17:1 And his
disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first
come? 11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come,
and restore all things. 12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not,
but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of
man suffer of them. 13 Then the disciples
understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
Mark 9: 11 And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias
must first come? 12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first,
and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must
suffer many things, and be set at nought. 13 But I say unto you, That Elias is
indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they
listed, as it is written of him.
John 1:21 And they asked him, What then?
Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
John the Baptist in his humility do
not see himself as the Elijah to come, but Jesus corrected that as can be seen
above.
Elias is the New Testiment
name for Elijah. Beware of those
that are teaching and looking for another Elijah, as you can
plainly see Jesus has clearly told us here that John the Baptist was that Elijah
that was to come.
If
you have an ear to hear, then listen to our Lord.
